Vendre Mon Auto Québec is committed to protecting the personal information of its users in accordance with the Act modernizing legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Act 25) of Quebec, as well as the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Personal information protection officer
Vendre Mon Auto Québec (hereinafter "the company") acts as the controller of personal information within the meaning of Act 25 (Act modernizing legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). Information collected
We collect the following personal information when you fill out the vehicle sale form: last name, first name, email address, phone number, postal code, as well as your vehicle details (make, model, year, mileage, condition, history). We also collect technical browsing information for statistical purposes.
Purposes of collection
Your information is used exclusively to: (1) evaluate your vehicle and make you a purchase offer; (2) communicate with you about your request; (3) complete the purchase transaction if you accept the offer; (4) meet our legal and tax obligations. Your information is never sold or rented to third parties.
Consent
By submitting the form, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, without retroactive effect on transactions already completed.
Retention and destruction
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and at most for the period prescribed by applicable tax and civil laws (notably for limitation purposes). At the end of this period, the information is securely destroyed.
Information sharing
Your information may be shared with: (1) our agents and service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. appraisal services, carriers); (2) government authorities when required by law. Our agents are bound by confidentiality commitments. We never share your information for third-party marketing purposes.
Your rights
Under Act 25, you have the following rights: access to your information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: encryption in transit, access limited to authorized personnel, access logs, and confidentiality assessments when adopting new technologies.
Complaint to the CAI
If you believe we have not respected your rights, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI). Filing a complaint with the CAI does not prevent you from first contacting us to try to resolve the situation.

We may modify this policy from time to time. The update date is shown at the bottom of the page. We invite you to consult it regularly.
